More Info:

As a Certified Dolly Doctor, Allison specializes in doll maintenance, restringing, cleaning, hair restyling, and face paint touch-ups, helping collectors and families care for dolls that often hold both sentimental and historical value.

Visitors are encouraged to bring dolls that are loose, damaged, in need of cleaning, or simply need a little professional attention.

Allison Jewell is a Richmond, Virginia, native and graduate of Randolph-Macon College who has spent much of her life collecting and restoring dolls.

Her love of dolls began at age five, when her grandmother gave Allison the baby doll she herself had cherished as a child. A lifelong bond with dolls began, and Allison has been collecting ever since.

This is a wonderful opportunity to have your doll evaluated by an experienced Dolly Doctor and learn more about caring for and preserving treasured dolls. Bring your dolls, bring your questions, and come meet the Dolly Doctor!

We extend our thanks to Allison for her longtime support of the museum and her willingness to be our Dolly Doctor this month!
