Event Details:

This annual gathering is one of our favorites of the year as we invite ALL doll collectors to enjoy an afternoon together supporting the museum and celebrating dolls, art, and culture.

This event is perfect for anyone passionate about dolls and doll collecting. All are welcome.

Imagine being in a room full of people who love dolls as much as you do…

You will enjoy a sit-down hearty lunch at a table full of fellow doll-lovers and collectors as you listen to engaging presentations on dolls and dollmaking. Make new dolly friends and enjoy and informative and joyful afternoon!

You’ll get free goodies and have a chance to participate in a silent auction, raffle, and door prize drawings.

When the luncheon ends, you’ll have the chance to take a trip over to our doll & toy museum (optional) and continue socializing with the new friends you’ve met.

Special Guests:

Celebrating our America 250 theme with us are Sandra Wright Justiss and Theresa Pierce.

Join Sandra Wright Justiss for a presentation exploring the life and legacy of “Currituck Jack,” an enslaved NC maritime hero whose courageous actions in 1780 supported the American cause during the Revolutionary War. Sandra’s renowned doll artistry can be seen in museums across the US, including her “Portrait of Christa McCauliffe” at the NASA Museum in Houston!

Step into history with Theresa Pierce as she dazzles you with the fascinating life and legacy of Martha Washington. Through engaging storytelling and historical insight, Theresa Pierce brings Martha Washington’s world to life, highlighting her role during the founding of America.

Guests will also enjoy a special exhibit of Martha Washington dolls, celebrating the fashion, elegance, and enduring influence of this iconic historical figure.

(The event location is a 10-minute drive away from the museum.)

Friday Meetup at the Museum:

The day before the luncheon on Friday, September 11, the museum will stay open for an extra hour for socializing, opening at 10 am and closing at 5 pm.

Cost & Registration:

Registration is required.

Tickets are $90.

(Please note: our food cost increased in 2026, which is why tickets have gone up in cost $5 this year. We appreciate your understanding!)

Just $80 for museum members, which is the same cost as 2025! So get the best possible value and support a great cause when you become a member today! You can also become a member while you register for this event on the form below.

Shopping & Purchases

No purchases are required onsite. Your registration includes a hearty buffet lunch.

However, you may want to bring extra dolly money to spend: we will have opportunities to shop for dolls, helper baskets, silent auction items, and more!

While we do accept cash/check/credit/debit, cash is preferred. The 50/50 is cash only.
